2. Privacy at a glance

This website is designed to minimise data. Technically necessary connection data is processed for delivery. The contact form itself does not transmit data. Google Analytics is currently inactive because no measurement ID is configured; any future activation will occur only after your explicit consent.

3. Hosting with IONOS

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes the data required for delivery as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. When the site is accessed, referrer, requested page or file, browser type and version, operating system, device type, access time and an anonymised IP address are processed. According to IONOS, the IP address is used only to determine the access location and is anonymised immediately. The purposes are security, stability and technical optimisation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and functional operation of the website.

For its Webhosting product, IONOS states that visitor data is retained for eight weeks. According to IONOS, this visitor data is neither disclosed to third parties nor transferred to third countries. IONOS WebAnalytics forms part of the hosting service. It operates without cookies; the transmitted IP address is anonymised immediately and the remaining data is evaluated statistically without personal reference. 4. Consent settings in your browser

Your choice is stored only locally in your browser under the key “uyb_consent_v2”. It contains your Google Analytics preference and the time of your decision. This prevents the notice from appearing on every visit. Storage is necessary for the consent service you requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); the supplementary legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can reset your choice in Cookie settings or delete it through your browser data.

5. Google Analytics

Current status: Google Analytics is not active; no measurement ID is configured. The website is only technically prepared. The service will load only if you consent to “Google Analytics” and UYB configures a valid measurement ID. Without consent, the Google script is not loaded, Analytics cookies are not set and measurement data is not transmitted to Google.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When activated, page views, technical device and browser data, approximate location, interactions and pseudonymous identifiers may be processed. Google uses IP addresses for regional determination and states that it does not log or store them for EU-based traffic. The purpose is statistical analysis and improvement of our website. The legal bases are your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

A transfer to Google companies or processors outside the EU or EEA cannot be excluded. Google cites the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and EU Standard Contractual Clauses as transfer mechanisms. The retention period in Google Analytics will be documented after actual configuration; Google commonly offers 2 or 14 months for user- and event-related GA4 data. Your consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

6. Contact

The contact form does not store or transmit form data through the website. It only creates an email draft locally in your email application. UYB processes your details only after you send the email yourself. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual enquiries and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The information is voluntary; without contact details required for a reply, the enquiry cannot be processed. Data is deleted once the enquiry is complete unless commercial or tax retention duties apply.

7. Local fonts and external links

The website does not load fonts from external font services. When you follow an external link, you leave this website and the destination operator is responsible for its data processing. Social-media plugins are not currently embedded.

8. Recipients, international transfers and retention

Recipients of personal data are limited to the service providers named in this notice and bodies to which disclosure is legally required. IONOS states that Webhosting visitor data is not transferred to third countries. Processing outside the EEA may occur through Google only following a future activation of Google Analytics and your consent. Safeguards would then include adequacy decisions and EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Where no specific period is stated, purpose, security requirements and statutory retention duties determine retention; data is then deleted or anonymised.

9. Your data protection rights

Subject to statutory requirements, you have rights to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). Under Art. 7(3) GDPR, you may withdraw consent at any time with future effect through “Cookie settings” or by emailing info@uyb.de. Processing carried out before withdrawal remains lawful.

10. Objection to processing based on legitimate interests

Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests, rights and freedoms, or processing is required for legal claims.

11. Automated decisions

No solely automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.

12. Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority particularly responsible for UYB’s location is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, email: poststelle@ldi.nrw.de.

13. Updates to this notice

We update this privacy notice when the website, services used or legal requirements change. If Google Analytics is configured later, its measurement ID, actual configuration and selected retention period will be reviewed before activation and this notice updated where necessary.
